Resonance helps communication pros ‘go green’

Creates Green Outlook guide for Appleton Coated Papers

Appleton's Green Outlook 2009The latest trends, topics and tactics for creating eco-friendly print communications are being shared throughout the country in a new Appleton Paper guide developed by Resonance.

Unveiled on Earth Day 2009, The Green Outlook provides agencies and corporate communication departments with core information and practical advice for minimizing the environmental impact when designing and producing printed materials.

“The piece is a brand-builder for Appleton Coated, not because it’s promotional, but because it shares Appleton’s environmental philosophy in a useful way,” says Michael Baxter, Resonance principal. “Whether you know a lot or a little about ‘green’ communications, The Green Outlook is a helpful guide.”

“One of the key findings from the research we conducted is that sustainability remains a competitive advantage for companies,” says Resonance principal Kathleen Turaski. “For example, in 16 out of 18 industries, companies that are recognized as sustainable financially outperformed their peers, according to one study.”

Among the information included in The Green Outlook:

  • Opening lines to help communications professionals start a conversation about taking new steps to become environmentally responsible;

  • Findings from five of the most recent research studies on the growing green movement in the U.S.;

  • Ways in which design and communication professionals can marshal support from management – and cooperation from vendors and partners;
